The Best Homestay a Girl could Ask for

Off to stay with Yulia and her two kids and my favorite Nanny.

Yulia had a spare bedroom in her place and since it was a love at first sight friendship-she offered for me to come stay with her and the kids, which I was so excited about as I love all of them.

We had some fresh mint and thyme tea together and had our own separate things to work on. She made a lovely chicken curry with a cucumber salad and a chicken noodle soup-delicious! I felt like I could eat double the portion because I was so excited about homecooked food, but I just ate like I normally would and was beyond satisfied.

It was a pleasure spending time with the baby and the nanny. The baby would pick up various objects and give them to me. She had such a big smile and was so happy to see me every time she entered the room.

While watching Yulia try to eat dinner while the baby would want to try everything she was eating or would spit out food she didn’t like-I thought perhaps this motherhood thing is not for me. I guess I had the window of time where I was desperate to have a child(a boy) and perhaps the time has passed for me.

Time will always tell and God will make a way if that is his plan for my life.

It was Friday night game night for Yulia and all our new friends at her favorite Bar Bar Hotel. The temperature had dropped outside making it cold and rainy so I decided to stay inside and WRITE.

I spent time with the nanny, Mano, a lovely well dressed, classy, fun spirited beautiful woman. She is 50 years old and has two sons that are in their 30s. She now spends her days as a nanny and she loves to dance and laugh. I just love her energy. She started playing Russian songs (romantic ones and dancing ones). We were dancing away with the baby and she listened to my favorite Bollywood songs. I was teaching her my Indian dance moves and she said she loves my dancing.

“Where did you learn these moves?”

I said, "I was born to dance."

She smiles and we are just dancing around one another smiling and laughing.  I absolutely looove these Russian songs she is playing- Russian music is great.

Denis also came out and he was showing off his breakdancing moves and sharing his favorite songs. It was such a fun little family time that I was craving.

I guess this is what a family is really like....and I was grateful to be added as a temporary member.

She tells me I must come for Christmas and New Years as she makes the best cake and we can dress up together and dance more. Love You Mano!
